Your brand is seen by many different people in many different ways. It's not just your own customers, but a lot of other people who perceive, imagine, discuss, and broadcast your brand's image. And everyone's perception and narrative matters.

Who says what depends on who sees what.
All of the segments of people in the above visualization are actors in your brand’s success. Some are looking at your social feeds, some at your press releases, some at your website, and some at your quarterly results. And all of these channels need to tell more or less the same story while telling a different, relevant story to the specific audience.

As a first step, it’s helpful to make a list of all the stakeholders involved, however close or far, with your brand, and understand why and where they encounter your brand’s touchpoints.
